Full circle

I painted a pig at Full Circle Design Studio and you can too!

Have you heard of Why Not Wednesday? It's an event put on by the Chamber of Commerce to do small sidewalk sale type events every Wednesday until August 30th. Well, we went to Full Circle Design Studio today and you know what? They're offering up cute little cast iron piggies or birds and chalk paint to make them look unique! You get your own cast iron animal and chalk paint + sealant for just $10!

You start with a small cast iron figure and then you get to pick your favorite color of chalk paint. Full Circle sells CeCe Caldwell chalk paints, and the colors look really great! Once the paint is applied, you have to dry it gently with a hair dryer, but it dries very quick. After that, you rub it with a damp cloth to make it look vintage, then apply a coat of clear glaze to seal the color and make it shine. It took less than 10 minutes to create the masterpiece you see in the picture! I did get some paint on my hands, but since chalk paint is completely water-soluable, it washed off really easily. It'll wash out of clothes and hair and carpet just as easy, so don't be afraid to bring the kids!

Full Circle is offering these fun paining opportunities from 11am-4pm every Wednesday until August 30th during their Why Not Wednesday sales. It's a great opportunity to take your kids, your friends, your spouse, or just yourself! Full Circle also offers classes on how to use chalk paint on furniture, as well as being a great boutique to find creative home decor!

You can find more information about Full Circle Design Studio at their Facebook page or on our local business directory!
